Conventional Lab Testing

We believe care should be high quality, accessible, and affordable. Along with being an in-network provider with most major commercial plans, we accept Maryland Medicaid.

Conventional medicine lab testing refers to laboratory tests that are ordered and interpreted by healthcare providers as part of the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. There are many different types of lab tests that may be ordered, depending on the specific medical condition being evaluated.

Some common types of lab tests ordered by Mendem Health include:

      1. Blood tests: Blood tests can provide information on a wide range of medical conditions, including blood cell counts, liver function, kidney function, cholesterol levels, and blood sugar levels.

      1. Urine tests: Urine tests can provide information on kidney function, urinary tract infections, and other medical conditions. It is customary for our provider to order a urine toxicology test as part of a routine initial assessment, or part of drug compliance monitoring.

      1. Pharmacogenetic tests: Genetic tests can provide information on a person’s risk for certain medical conditions or provide a diagnosis for genetic disorders. Conventional medicine lab testing can provide valuable information for healthcare providers to make informed decisions about diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of medical conditions.

However, it is important to note that lab tests are just one tool that healthcare providers use to
evaluate and manage medical conditions. Other factors, such as a patient’s medical history,
physical examination, and symptoms, are also important considerations.
